OK, we know we’re a biker blog so if you’re still here after reading the post title. We appreciate it. A motorcycle is all well and good but this winter, I must say I am starting to prefer my car, especially for getting to work in the morning. Although having said that, cars tend to have a lot more trouble getting started than bikes in the cold weather. It normally takes me at least 5 attempts to get my Ford going and even longer to negotiate my way through the traffic, however, in saying that, I can do it whilst listing to music in the warmth of my cab as opposed to shivering on my Honda! One problem I have found in driving this winter though is the tires. The tires on my Ford do not seem to grip to anything, the slightest bit of ice going around a corner and I am skidding out all over the place. I would have thought it would have gripped better than on the bike but it doesn’t seem to be the case! Maybe I could just get some snow chains fitted although I will probably end up waking the neighbours with those pulling out of my driveway!
