As all Porsche owners, well, Porsche owners who have been owners for a few years know. There are certain things that go wrong with these beautiful cars and certain problems that are extremely common. The most common, particularly on older Posche models is the breaking / leaking of the rubber seals. This is extremely common on all convertible / cabriolet cars and the Porsche is no exception. Luckily, you can purchase Porsche rubber seals yourself at a relatively low cost from Porsche direct or from third party supplies. The next major issue that affects all Porsches is the air conditioning. If you buy a Porsche that is at least 5 years old, I guarantee that you will have at some point an issue with the air conditioning. Again, luckily it’s a relatively simple fix and you can even buy whole Porsche air conditioning units yourself these days or have Porsche service your old one at a relatively low cost.

Of course, whatever Porsche parts you intend on buying, you’re going to be limited at what you can actually do yourself. Mainly as you cannot really get to any of the Porsche mechanics without specialist tools. You might also risk voiding your warranty also.
